Administration & Operations

Mrs. James

Head of School

Hello!
My name is Jeanine James, known as Mrs. James. I am an accomplished teacher, Administrator, and Owner of Royal Montessori Academy. It has been a profound joy to educate and create lasting memories for countless children over the years. I have three beautiful daughters, and I am married to my best friend, who has supported my journey since the beginning.
My passion for working with children began when I was a young girl, through playing with the neighborhood children and babysitting for local families. This early enthusiasm and passion laid the foundation for my love of teaching and guiding children.
My teaching journey began when I enrolled my firstborn daughter in preschool. I knew that I wanted to be by her side and to teach. I chose the Montessori approach, starting as an assistant teacher in 2003, transitioning to a full-time teacher four years later. I hold a Montessori degree and an Early Childhood certification, specializing in the education of toddlers (ages 18 months to 3 years) and preschool through kindergarten-aged children.
The next step in my career, I found great fulfillment in taking on the role of Administrator, where I not only interact with the children daily but also provide support to classrooMs., teachers, and children. Each and every child has a special place in my heart, and I cherish the opportunity to watch them learn, witness their growth and development before my eyes.
After gaining further experience and continuing my education, I became the Owner of Royal Montessori Academy. As the Owner, I have the pleasure of working closely with each family to ensure our educational environment is bright, exciting, nurturing, and a place that fosters a love for learning! RMA teaches the Montessori curriculum, filled with teachers who love to teach, and is an environment that gives parents a feeling of trust, leaving their child at school.
Establishing strong relationships with both children and parents is of utmost importance to me, as I believe it is a collaborative effort, and I am honored to be part of each family’s team. I have learned that Montessori isn’t just a curriculum, but rather a way of life.
Continuous education is one of the many shared values among our entire staff; we all strive to learn and grow, bringing more to the children. I love that we get to all do this together, and I am grateful for the opportunity to embark on this educational journey together.
With a loving heart, I cannot wait for your child to experience Royal Montessori Academy and look forward to watching all the children learn and grow!

Mrs. Rowe

Assistant Head of School

Hello, I am Lauren Rowe! I am originally from Montana and have called Green Bay home since 2012. My husband and I have one son, and I’ve been part of the Royal Montessori Academy community since 2019.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and have completed NAMC Montessori Training for children ages 0-3. What I love most about being in the classroom is watching children explore materials with such natural curiosity. The mixed-age setting is one of my favorite aspects of Montessori education; seeing our youngest children guided by the older ones is nothing short of magical. I especially enjoy watching the older children demonstrate leadership skills and patience as they support their younger
classmates.
My favorite area of the Montessori classroom is Practical Life, where materials are constantly changing and designed to be engaging, hands-on, and inviting for children. I also
enjoy collaborating with our teaching team; whether it’s brainstorming classroom materials, sharing NAMC insights, or helping track down resources.
Another highlight of my role is giving tours. I love meeting prospective families, guiding them through our school, and then having the joy of welcoming them back on the first day of school as part of our community.
Fun Fact: After our wedding in Hawaii, my husband and I met Kobe Bryant in the elevator while we were still in our wedding attire!

Mrs. Verbeten

Education Director

My name is Ashtin Verbeten, the Education Director at Royal Montessori Academy. I am a seasoned pre-school teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and an International Montessori Early Childhood Teaching Degree. I am also certified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to teach Early Childhood to Middle Childhood.
My Montessori Story:
My education professors at St. Norbert College accentuated the importance of being a lifelong learner. They discussed how happiness and self-improvement go hand in hand, and how the most self-fulfilled individuals will “embrace the responsibilities of being a lifelong learner.” It wasn’t until after graduation that their message really began to sink in.
I began teaching in a two’s and three’s classroom at a well-established and respected early-childhood center in Chicago, IL. We implemented a play and discovery-based curriculum supported by researched best practices for early learning. This is where my passion for early education exploded. After five years of continuous learning and practice using this teaching method, I moved back to Green Bay, WI.
In 2019, I began working at Royal Montessori Academy as a preschool-aged teacher. I was astonished to discover many similarities between the Montessori method of teaching and the play- and discovery-based approach. Feeling inspired and passionately curious, I decided to do more research through the North American Montessori Center, where I earned my International Montessori Teaching Diploma for preschool-aged children.
Implementing a method that fosters a lifelong learner mentality, based on scientifically proven best practices for learning, is extremely rewarding and empowers our future leaders. I am so proud to be a Montessori education advocate and a support system to our wonderful teachers and students at Royal Montessori Academy.

Ms. Peyton

Office Support / Gym Teacher

Hello! My name is Ms. Peyton, and I am both the gym teacher and the office support at Royal Montessori Academy. I first started working at RMA during high school, and after graduating from college, I was excited to come back and continue to be a part of this wonderful community.
I genuinely enjoy spending my days with the children, whether we are exercising, playing games in the gym, or simply sharing fun moments together. Their enthusiasm and smiles never fail to brighten my day! I also love helping out in the office and greeting families each morning. Being a welcoming face for both students and parents is one of my favorite parts of the job. I am grateful to work in a place where I can support children as they stay active, learn, and grow.
Children perceive the world with such wonder! I appreciate your trust in me with your children, and I promise to always care for them as if they were my own.

Ms. Macey

Social Media and Marketing Director

Hello, I’m Macey Goodrich, and I’m so excited to be part of the Royal Montessori Academy team! I graduated from St. Norbert College with a double major in Psychology and Sociology and have held several roles at RMA over the years. As the Marketing and Social Media Director, I love bringing RMA’s mission to life. I blend creativity with strategy to showcase the meaningful
experiences that make RMA a special place for students to learn, through independence, curiosity, and the Montessori education that inspires in children.
In my role, I manage and grow RMA’s social media presence, create engaging visuals and campaigns, and design admissions materials and communications that celebrate our school community. I also oversee brand voice and design, develop community partnerships, plan events, and perform various administrative tasks, ultimately helping to highlight RMA’s unique approach to education. One of my favorite parts of the job is capturing authentic classroom moments, sharing the joy of Montessori learning with families, as children explore, discover, and
flourish.
My background in psychology and sociology provides me with a unique insight into how people learn and connect, especially through stories, which I bring into every post, project, and partnership, turning everyday school moments into meaningful stories that reflect RMA’s values of independence, curiosity, and lifelong learning that build lasting connections between RMA, the families we serve, and the wider community!
Outside of RMA, I love diving into art projects, volunteering, building Lego sets, and I’m passionate about finding creative outlets that keep me inspired. I’m grateful to be part of such a supportive team and look forward to continuing to share the curiosity, independence, and joy that make RMA so special!

Ms. Puente

Administration Assistant

Hello!
My name is Celina Puente. After high school, I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 10 years. I truly enjoy helping those who need help and find that type of work to be extremely rewarding. However, over time, I made a meaningful decision to shift over to helping children learn and grow each day, so I started working as a Paraprofessional in a High School outside of Green Bay. Since moving back to Green Bay a few years ago, I found a position here at Royal Montessori Academy that allows
me to do what I love to do, which is help those around me.
Being a devoted mother of two wonderful boys, I try to bring warmth, patience, and compassion to everything I do. My background has provided me with a strong foundation in empathy and communication, which I now utilize to create a positive and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff alike. As a member of the Administration team here at Royal Montessori, I help ensure smooth daily operations while always putting care and connection at the center of my work.
I look forward to working with and watching your children and families grow for years to come!
Warmly,
Ms. Puente

I am part of the office support team at Royal Montessori Academy, where I handle billing, schedule changes, and assist in keeping things running smoothly. I truly love children and value the time I spend connecting with families each day. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing children in their element, learning, exploring, and growing in such a unique environment.
Outside of work, I love spending time up north at my cottage with my husband, fishing, relaxing, and enjoying time with friends. Family and connection are very important to me, and I’m grateful that my role at RMA allows me to be part of such a supportive and caring community.

Mrs. Bieda

Kindergarten / Preschool Teacher

Hello RMA Families!
Let me introduce myself…I am Mrs. Bieda! I was born and raised in Ashwaubenon and attended Bellin College, where I became a radiologic technologist. While I waited for a radiographer position to open at a pediatric hospital, I took what I thought would be a temporary nanny position. It was then that I discovered my passion for teaching children. Year after year, I pushed my plan to work in radiology further away, and continued to follow my heart with teaching. During my time as a nanny, I worked with large families and discovered the
immense benefits of the Montessori multiage concept. I focused on creating lesson plans that motivated children to learn from theMs.elves and others around them. When I started a family of my own, I wanted my children to be challenged to learn in an environment that would naturally encourage them to be the best possible version of theMs.elves. That is what brought me to Royal Montessori Academy, and where I’m following my dream of teaching.
I truly believe life is intended for lifelong learning. I’ve always had an appreciation for challenges, a love of learning, and a desire to improve myself. I have been teaching for over 10 years at RMA, and have had the wonderful opportunity to teach the toddler program, preschool program, and kindergarten program. I earned my International Montessori Teaching Diploma through the North American Montessori Center (NAMC). Each year, I strive to introduce my students to the philosophy of cosmic education and the concept that all things in the world are interconnected and that each of them has a unique and special place within it.
I currently reside in Ashwaubenon with my incredible husband and our three young boys, and we also have a goldendoodle! Together we enjoy spending time at our family cottage, relaxing in our backyard, hanging out with our families, watching the Green Bay Packers and NCAA basketball, going to the farmer’s market, and enjoying each little moment we share together.
Each student is unique, and not like any other, which challenges me to find the best way to connect with them. Children see the world in a way that adults often cannot, and I am so thankful to be reminded of their perspective each day. It may be my job to teach students, but what I am learning from them every day is so much more. I love being a teacher because my students inspire me to be a better listener, a better friend, a better coworker, a better teammate, a better mom, a better wife, a better teacher, and a better me.
As a mom myself, I know the feeling of leaving your children in someone else’s care, which is why I strive to build a connection with not only your child but also your entire family. I want you to know that when you leave your child in my care, I will ensure they are safe, loved, and challenged to be the best version of theMs.elves. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and I fully believe that. I am so excited for the opportunity to be a part of your village!

Ms. Corona

Kindergarten / Preschool Teacher

Hello families!
My name is Ms. Corona. I am from the state of Washington, but moved to Wisconsin at a very young age and have called Green Bay my home ever since! I received my associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education at NWTC, and then I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me spending all of my time with my little boy. Watching him grow and meet milestones brings me the same joy I see when my students in the classroom reach their own accomplishments.
I have always loved working with young children, and it was clear to me that pursuing a career in this field was a natural choice for me. I was introduced to the Montessori method as a college student and fell in love with every aspect of it. I truly believe in everything the Montessori method stands for, and I love guiding children as they grow and develop. I believe children learn from us, but that we also learn from them.
Children see the world full of wonder! I thank you for trusting me with your children, and I will always care for them as if they were my own.

Mrs. Endlich

Toddler Teacher

I am Mrs. Endlich, and I have been teaching in the toddler classrooms at Royal Montessori Academy for several years. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and have spent the last few years working in Montessori, where I have learned a great deal from my fellow teachers and the children themselves. I am passionate about creating a calm, nurturing environment where children can explore, build independence, make choices, and learn at their own pace. I completed the North American Montessori Center (NAMC) teacher training courses online to be the best teacher possible for my students at RMA.
Outside of school, I enjoy golfing with my husband, cooking, home improvements, boating, gardening, and working out. What I love about RMA is that I can take the things I love to do, such as cooking or gardening, and make them a learning activity for my students. You shouldn’t have to give up who or what you love at work, but embrace it and show others the value it can bring to young children, the Montessori way.

Ms. Anna

Substitute Teacher

Hello!
My name is Ms. Anna, and I am excited to be a part of the RMA community! I recently graduated from Ashwaubenon High School and am now continuing my education at NWTC.
Many of you may have seen me around in the past, as I’ve worked after school and occasionally subbed. This year, I’ll be subbing regularly and rotating between classrooMs., which gives me the wonderful opportunity to work with many different students and staff throughout the building.
Outside of school, I love spending time outdoors, going on walks, and staying active. I played softball throughout high school and still enjoy anything sports-related.
I am truly looking forward to an amazing school year and the chance to get to know your children even better!

In the classroom, I strive to create a warm and supportive environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop confidence in their abilities. I’m passionate about guiding young learners as they build a strong foundation for both academics and life.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy tending to my garden, fitness, spending time with my husband and family, and curling up with a good book or puzzle!

I have years of childcare experience, and am passionate about constantly learning more. I love listening to science podcasts or exploring Montessori educational materials.
A little about me is that I am a mother to a daughter, and on the weekends, you can find me going on walks with my family and my husky puppy. I love exploring new coffee shops, wineries, and breweries, and trying many new flavors! I have a passion for the outdoors, and I love getting my hands dirty with gardening. I am excited to be a part of Royal Montessori Community and bring my own passion and creativity to the classroom.

I live in Green Bay with my husband, our son, and our two Goldendoodles. My love of working with children began early. I grew up in an in-home daycare and started helping my mom as soon as I was able. I attended UW–Green Bay and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Development. When my son was born, I decided to leave my corporate job and care for my children at home. Mrs. Vitela

Hello RMA Families,
My name is Mrs. Vitela, and I am so excited to introduce myself as a full-time preschool Montessori teacher! I feel truly honored to have the opportunity to get to know your wonderful children and to work together to create a fun, enriching, and memorable year for them.
I hold an Associate’s Degree in Business Management and have had the pleasure of previously working at Royal Montessori as a substitute teacher, supporting both campuses. During that time, I’ve gained valuable experience working with children of various ages and learning styles, which has helped me develop the flexibility, patience, and creativity that I bring into the classroom each day.
One of the things I love most about Montessori education is the emphasis on individualized learning. I deeply value the way it encourages each child to explore their own interests at their own pace, fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
On a personal note, I’m also a proud RMA parent! My daughter is in the program, and it brings me so much joy to watch her grow in such a nurturing environment. Being both an educator and a parent at RMA allows me to connect with our school community on a very meaningful level.
When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with friends over iced matchas and doing Pilates just for fun. These hobbies help me stay energized, balanced, and ready to bring my best self into the classroom every day.
Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your child’s educational journey. I’m truly looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with growth, discovery, and joyful learning!

Ms. Baierl

Preschool Teacher

Hello! My name is Ms. Baierl!
I am passionate about nurturing curious minds and fostering a lifelong love of learning. As a preschool Montessori teacher, it is my true calling to create a supportive and stimulating environment where children can thrive. I hold a NAMC certification and have numerous years of experience in preschool education, and I am privileged to have had teaching experience with toddlers at RMA.
Initially, I began as a toddler teacher, believing the toddlers were my jam. However, when the opportunity arose to teach preschool during the COVID-19 pandemic, I stepped outside my comfort zone. I am grateful that I took the opportunity, as teaching preschool has been my favorite age! There’s so much learning that goes on every single day, from seeing the child’s own excitement when they encounter something new, which is something I hold dear to my heart.
Additionally, being a new Montessori parent has deepened my understanding and appreciation for child-led learning. I love seeing my sons’ interests and curiosities unfold every day. As a mother, my son truly makes me slow down and enjoy each moment more every day, teaching me that life can be short and it’s okay if the only thing we accomplish that day is a day full of laughter and just being together.
During my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors with my son. Together, we walk the neighborhood, stopping to look at sticks or bugs, exploring new playgrounds, and soaking up all the sunshine we can get. These experiences inspire my approach to teaching, which is focused on respecting each child’s unique developmental journey and encouraging independence, exploration, and critical thinking.
I look forward to partnering with families to support their children’s growth, discovery, and love of learning.

Ms. Bastia

Kindergarten / Preschool Teacher

Hi, I am Ms. Bastia!
Educating is more than a job for me; it is a calling. As a parent, I understand the trust it takes to leave your child in someone else’s care, and I strive to create a classroom that feels like an extension of home: warm, welcoming, and full of opportunities for
learning and growth.
I believe in the Montessori philosophy because it honors the whole child. I love watching children build independence, discover ways to express theMs.elves, and develop curiosity about the world. My goal is to guide children with patience, consistency, and joy, helping them feel capable and confident in theMs.elves.
Beyond the classroom, I’m passionate about lifelong learning. I recently completed my Bachelor’s of Educational Studies in Special and Elementary Education and am now pursuing my master’s with the long-term goal of becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This journey enables me to incorporate fresh knowledge and strategies into my teaching, particularly in supporting children with diverse needs.
At home, life is full and busy with my three boys! Our days are filled with sports, school projects, and adventures. We enjoy spending time together outside, exploring new places, camping, hiking, and bonding as a family. Being a mom shapes the way I teach; I know the ups and downs of parenting and the joy of watching children grow into theMs.elves. I enjoy reading, creating art, DIY projects, and relaxing in the backyard in my free time.
I’m grateful every day to be part of the Royal Montessori community and walk alongside your child as they grow into their best selves.

Hello, I am Ms. Craw!
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Special Education. I have been at Royal Montessori Academy for several years, and I am so excited for this school year. I have a beautiful daughter and two fur babies, and I love reading, doing puzzles, and all different types of crafts.
Over the years, I have worked in a variety of educational settings. I have also worked in home with children who have Autism. I love working with children, and seeing each child’s personality develop over the school year is my greatest reward. I’m excited to help each child develop educationally. As I grew up, the only job I ever wanted was to work with children; for me, it didn’t matter what age they were or anything else, as long as I was able to help them grow and learn. I want them to reach for the stars and strive to go above and beyond in life.
I’m eager to get to know everyone and support their growth at this stage in life.

Mrs. Denny

Hello! My name is Shaunna Denny, and I’m thrilled to be part of the RMA community. Originally from Kaukauna, Wisconsin, where I graduated, I now live in Denmark with my husband, our son, and our two dogs.
My passion for working with children began early on through babysitting, which inspired me to pursue college courses in early childhood education. Shortly after high school, I started working in the childcare setting and have now spent over 10 years in the field, with experience across all age groups. However, my heart has always been with preschool-aged children. This age is such a crucial time for growth and development, and I love being part of their learning journey as they explore the world around them.
Since becoming a mother, my perspective on education has grown even deeper. I’ve embraced the Montessori method and its focus on independence, hands-on learning, and respect for each child’s unique path.
I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of the RMA team and support your children during these critical early years. My goal is to create a space where every student feels safe, welcomed, and excited to learn each day.

Ms. Gonzalez

Hello! My name is Carmen Gonzalez. Working with children is something I have always enjoyed. After high school, I gained experience working in a Montessori school and also as a nanny. In the last few years, my daughter and I joined RMA!
I have had the privilege of teaching in the toddler program for several years. Working alongside my co-teachers over the past two years, I was able to gain even more teaching experience and a better understanding of the Montessori method. This led me to choose to further my education, and I received my NAMC Preschool certificate.
My fiancé, our daughter, and I recently moved into a new house in Green Bay with our two dogs. In my free time, I enjoy going to the movies, taking my dogs on walks around our neighborhood, and spending time with my family.

Ms. Hooks

Support Teacher

Hello RMA Families,
I am Emily Hooks. I took my first steps into the world of education a few years ago, and I am proud to say that I have been at RMA for several years. The sense of community here is something I deeply cherish, and every day, I am inspired by the fresh perspectives and insights I gain from the children.
Discovering the Montessori Method has been transformative for me. One of its aspects that truly resonates with me is observing the children embrace their individual learning paces, which in turn fosters their excitement and independence as they blossom both physically and mentally.
Outside the classroom, I love the simple joys of curling up with a good book or spending time with my niece. Much like with your children, I find myself guiding her on her journey to independence even outside the school setting.
I’m looking forward to another rewarding year, growing and learning alongside your wonderful children.

I hold an Assistant Teacher certificate and a Teacher certificate, and I furthered my education by graduating with an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Chippewa Valley Technical College.
I am originally from Marshfield, Wisconsin, and then I relocated to Green Bay and married my husband. Together, we have a beautiful blended family. I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to teach and grow alongside the children at RMA.
Warmly,

Ms. Jazz

Preschool Teacher

Hello!
My name is JazzLynn James, and I am very excited for the upcoming school year! I have been working as a full-time teacher for numerous years and have prior experience working as a substitute and after-school teacher at RMA. What’s even better is that I am a Montessori kid myself! I attended a Montessori school from the age of 2 up until 7th grade. Not only do I have the knowledge of Montessori, but I was taught the Montessori methodology while I was in my absorbent period!
I attended the University of Wisconsin – Fox Valley for two years and then transferred to the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology!
During my free time, I enjoy reading, painting, and taking my German Shepherd Doberman to the dog park. I enjoy finding new places to explore and taking car rides while listening to music.
I am very excited for the school year and getting to know the children!

Mrs. Lanich

Preschool Teacher

Hello Everyone,
I have been in the educational field, serving students of all ages, for nearly 20 years; eleven of those years have been dedicated to teaching the Montessori method. I have carried and applied the Montessori approach outside of Montessori grounds, and was amazed to see how still relevant, valid, and effective it is to this day in achieving academic success regardless of age!
Along with Maria Montessori’s discovery of the ability of young children to learn and the necessity of educating them, I side with the Montessori approach to educating young children. Together with Montessori principles, I believe and practice helping children discover their potential within a prepared classroom environment that reflects her philosophy, filled with the creative ethos of Montessori materials, the teacher’s care, and the students’ inquiry. I prepare an environment resplendent with abundant, high-quality literature that I believe is a foundational pillar of all learning across all disciplines. A classroom that promotes and sustains emergent literacy, paving the way for acquiring 21st-century skills, multiple intelligences, and self-efficacy,
which contributes to building students’ character.
I look forward to working together to provide the best possible care for children, with a great emphasis on quality education and a cooperative community of lifelong learners.

Ms. Lifto

Preschool Teacher

Hello! My name is Abigail Lifto, also known to my students as Ms. Lifto. I’m thrilled to be part of the Royal Montessori Academy family!
Although I’m still growing in my Montessori journey, I recently completed my Montessori Certification in Early Childhood Education (ages 3–6), and I’m eager to continue learning every day. My passion for working with children began early, from helping care for my younger sisters to starting my first babysitting jobs as a teen.
I earned my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, followed by my Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a minor in Human Development from UW-Green Bay. On my high school graduation card, I wrote that I wanted to be a lifelong learner, and I’m proud to say I’ve stayed true to that promise. RMA has given me the gift of growing alongside bright young minds, and I consider that an honor.
Outside of the classroom, my world revolves around my two amazing children. They bring endless joy and keep me on my toes! I also have a passion for travel, I’ve visited 30 out of 50 states so far, and I’m determined to collect them all. When I get a rare quiet moment to myself, you’ll find me with a good book or catching up on some much-needed ZZZs.
Each year, I am grateful for the opportunity to guide your children, watch them grow, and learn right alongside them. Being part of the Royal Montessori family has been a blessing for both me and my little ones, and I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you.

Mrs. Lindeen

Toddler Teacher

Hello RMA Families!
My name is Michelle Lindeen. I have been teaching at Royal Montessori Academy since 2016. I love what I do! It is true what they say, “When one teaches, two learn.” I always feel very privileged to have the opportunity to get to know you and learn alongside your child, working hand-in-hand to make each year a fun-filled and encouraging experience. I continue to appreciate the Montessori concept of teaching and learning. I’ve always believed that the best teachers show you where to look, but don’t tell you what to see.
A little about myself…I am a Wisconsinite born and raised. I graduated from the School of Education at UW-EauClaire with a BA in Communication Disorders, and I have been working with children ever since. I have been with my husband for over 30 years, and we have one son. Due to my husband’s previous career in the Marine Corps, we moved around a bit before settling in Green Bay in 2004. I enjoy spending free time with family & friends, entertaining, traveling, cooking/baking, watching movies, and having simple, quiet evenings at home.
Thank you for entrusting me with the special responsibility of loving & caring for your children. I am so excited to meet you all and very motivated to help nurture your children as they grow in independence through new experiences, building friendships,
and exploring their environment around them.

Mrs. Parmentier

Toddler Teacher

Hello parents, families, and the wonderful Royal Montessori Academy community! My name is Shannon Parmentier. I am originally from Marshfield, Wisconsin, but I have enjoyed being a “cheesehead” here in Green Bay since 2014.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in ‘Family and Consumer Science-Family Life Education’ from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2011. Go Pointers! I have enjoyed working with children since my college years, which includes: being a Big Sister with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, volunteering at an elementary school, interning at a family resource center, and completing two years of service with AmeriCorps. One of my fondest memories of working with children was when I was an AmeriCorps member. I had the enjoyment of participating in a duathlon with many of the students I mentored throughout the year. The relationships I formed with these students proved to me that teaching children would be in my future again.

My husband and I have been married since 2017. We live in Howard with our two children, Maverick and Esmae, and our energetic petite goldendoodle pup named Lui. We love spending time together golfing, walking, and visiting our family cottage on Pelican Lake.

I look forward to another great year and look forward to meeting you soon!

I have worked with children since I was a teenager, teaching Sunday School, helping with sports clinics, babysitting, and being a line therapist for autistic children. My favorite part of working with children and being a teacher is seeing their confidence and
independence grow as they learn the many things they are capable of.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching all the Wisconsin sports teaMs., as well as cooking and baking. I also enjoy playing basketball and volleyball when the opportunity arises.

Ms. Schoen

Hello RMA Families!
My name is Heather Schoen, born and raised in Suamico with my mom, dad, and twin sister. Family is extremely important to me; therefore, I spend the majority of my time with them. I currently reside in Hobart with my fiancé and our two children.
I am beyond thankful for the opportunity of working at Royal Montessori Academy for the past ten years. I’ve always enjoyed working with young children, so I knew this environment was best for me. I currently work as a preschool teacher and love every minute of it. Their personalities brighten my day as well as keep me on my toes!
I received a double major in Psychology and Human Development at UWGB. Additionally, I am Montessori certified and received my Montessori degree. Being an advocate for children has always been extremely important in my lifetime, especially because young children look up to us. Watching them learn, grow, and succeed makes my job even more special. I cannot wait to meet you all!

Hello! My name is Ms. Stamper, soon to be Mrs. Schroeder. I have been an educator at Royal Montessori Academy for the last few years and have numerous years of teaching experience. Originally from Rockford, Illinois, I relocated to Wisconsin in 2022 and have been loving it since!
Outside of the classroom, I love to bake and enjoy cooking all sorts of different recipes! The most you would see is my sourdough loaves or desserts! When I am not baking, I am spending time with my family, whether at our cabin by Petenwell Lake or back at home in Illinois.
I look forward to meeting each and every one!

Mrs. VanAlstyne

Preschool Teacher

Hello! My name is Mrs. VanAlstyne, and I have been teaching at Royal since 2021. My passion for fostering children’s independence started in college during my nanny days. I have always felt a strong calling to connect with children and have the patience to help develop their identity and independence.
I graduated from UWGB with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. My plan was not always to be working in a classroom setting with children, until I fell in love with the Montessori Method. Working at Royal Montessori Academy, I have quickly learned the method within my own practice and alongside some wonderful teachers. I have watched children have the chance to develop their interests and figure things out on their own within my classroom. I love that the Montessori method develops children’s self-motivation to learn, creating a love for learning that’s intrinsic and a lifelong characteristic that follows them into adulthood.
Becoming a mother myself has also definitely amplified my love and patience for teaching. Providing our children with a prepared environment to learn and discover, while showing them compassion and encouragement, is incredibly important to me.
Children should feel safe and confident within their classrooms, allowing them to make mistakes and learn from them. I truly look forward to working with each one of your children!

Ms. Washington

Toddler Teacher

My name is Stephanie Washington. With over 17 years of experience in the child care field, I am passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a supportive, engaging learning environment. For the past 10 years, I’ve proudly worked at Royal Montessori Academy, where I continue to help toddlers grow and thrive through developmentally appropriate practices.
I hold an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Toddler Montessori Training Certificate, both of which have deepened my commitment to the Montessori philosophy and hands-on, child-centered learning.
Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mother of two sons. I enjoy camping, watching movies, and spending quality time with my family.
