Jeanine James
Head of School
Hello!
My name Jeanine James (known as Mrs. James) I am an accomplished teacher, administrator, and owner of the Royal Montessori Academy. Educating children while creating memories for hundreds of children throughout the years has brought so much joy to my life. I have 3 beautiful daughters and am married to my best friend who has supported my journey since the beginning.
Working with children has always been a true passion of mine since I was a young girl, whether it was playing with the neighborhood children or babysitting for families. This is where the love of teaching and guiding children stemmed from.
My teaching journey began when I decided that my first-born daughter was ready to attend Pre-School. I knew that I wanted to be by her side and to teach. Montessori was the Pre-School that I chose. I started as an assistant teacher in 2003 and became a teacher 4 years later. I hold a Montessori degree and Early Childhood certification specialized in teaching the toddler age (18 months through 3 years old), along with teaching Pre-school age through Kindergarten.
A role that is important and rewarding to me was the next step in my career, an Administrator. As an Administrator, not only do I get to see the children each day as they pass me on the way to class, but I also was able to help support each classroom, the teachers, and the children. Each and every child has a special place in my heart watching them learn and grow before my eyes.
After gaining further experience and continuing my education, I have become an owner. As an owner, I have the pleasure of working closely with each family and making sure that their choice for a Pre-School is an environment that is bright, fun, exciting, encourages a love for learning, filled with teachers who love to teach, teaches the Montessori curriculum and is an environment that gives the parents a feeling of trust leaving their child at school. The relationships with the parents are just as important to me as the children are. It’s a team effort and I am honored to be part of each family’s team. I have learned that Montessori isn’t just a curriculum, but rather a way of life.
Continuing education is one of many things the entire staff has in common; we all strive for more and want to learn more to bring that back to the children. I love that we get to all do this together.
With a loving heart, I cannot wait for your child to experience Royal Montessori Academy and look forward to watching all the children learn and grow!
Lauren Rowe
Assistant Head of School, West & East Campus
Hello, I am Lauren Rowe! I am so excited to be here at RMA! I grew up in Helena Montana and moved to Green Bay in 2012 where I finished my bachelor’s degree at UW-Green Bay. I am married to my wonderful husband Josh and we have a little boy, Coulson. We also have two dogs that keep us very busy.
I have always loved working with children and knew that was what I would eventually do for a career. I have worked with all age groups. Being a former teacher, I love being able to step into a classroom and see the children learning and exploring in the Montessori setting. Now I get to step into the role of Assistant Administrator and help with many different aspects of Royal Montessori Academy. I get to wear many hats in the day and I really like doing that, no two days are the same. I really enjoy helping everyone out when they need something. Being able to answer teaching questions or parents’ questions makes all days go by very quickly!
Everyone has been so kind welcoming me to Royal Montessori! I am looking forward to what the future has in store for myself and my family here!
Ashtin Schmechel
Education Director, West & East Campus
My name is Ashtin Schmechel, the Education Director at Royal Montessori Academy. I am a seasoned pre-school teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early-Childhood Education and an International Montessori Early-Childhood Teaching Degree. I am also certified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to teach Early-Childhood to Middle-Childhood.
My Montessori Story:
My education professors at St. Norbert College accentuated the importance of being a lifelong learner. They talked about happiness and self-improvement going hand-in-hand and how the most self-fulfilled individuals will “embrace the responsibilities of being a lifelong learner.” It wasn’t until after graduation that their message really started to dawn on me.
I began teaching in a two’s and three’s classroom at a well-established and respected early-childhood center in Chicago, IL. We implemented a play and discovery-based curriculum that was supported by researched best practices for early learning. This is where my passion for early education exploded. After five years of continuous learning and practice using this method for teaching I moved back to Green Bay, WI.
In 2019, I began working at Royal Montessori Academy as a preschool-aged teacher. I was astonished to discover many similarities between the Montessori method for teaching and the play and discovery-based method. Feeling inspired and passionately curious I decided to do more research through the North American Montessori Center where I earned my International Montessori Teaching Diploma for preschool-aged children. Implementing a method that builds a lifelong learner mentality and based off of scientifically proven best practices for learning is extremely rewarding and gives power to our future leaders. I am so proud to be a Montessori education advocate and a support system to our wonderful teachers and students at Royal Montessori Academy.

Karina Radue
Toddler Teacher, West Campus
My name is Karina Radue and I have been teaching at Royal Montessori Academy since September of 2014 and have loved every minute of it. I graduated from UWGB in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Psychology and also received my Infant/Toddler Montessori certificate in 2017. I love being able to expand my education and learn more about the Montessori method and how to best use it in my classroom every day.
I have worked with children since I was a teenager with teaching Sunday School, helping with sports clinics, babysitting, as well as being a line therapist for autistic children. My favorite part of working with children and being a teacher is seeing their confidence and independence grow as they learn the many things they are capable off.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching all the Wisconsin sports teams, as well as cooking and baking. I also enjoy playing basketball, and volleyball when the opportunity arises.
I love being a part of the Royal Montessori Academy team and sharing my passion for teaching children.
Teresa Nussbaum
Toddler Teacher, West Campus
Hello, I am Mrs. Nussbaum! I have taught Pre-School in the Green Bay area for more than two decades bringing energy, patience and compassion into the classroom every day! I have a genuine and natural rapport with children and strive to build their self-confidence with gentle guidance and encouragement. My lesson plans are both educational and fun, based in the Montessori environment where the child learns through active discovery rather than passive reception.
I earned my Early Childhood Degree with honors in 1987 and my Montessori teaching credentials in 1991. I regularly attend Early Childhood conferences and workshops and observe in various Early Childhood settings. I understand what matters most to parents when choosing a Pre-School for their child. I am a mother a two boys myself. Safety and quality care are my top priorities!
Growing up in a military household I have lived around the world. I enjoy learning about other cultures and cuisines. In my free time I have taught Sunday school for three years, assisted in the art room at a local elementary school, been involved with Cub Scouts, involved as a flag football coach and volunteered for one school year with the Boys and Girls Club afterschool program. I also enjoy hiking, bird watching, gardening among other pastimes.
I feel blessed to have been with Royal Montessori Academy since the very beginning! The facility, teachers and owners all have the same vision and passion for Montessori Education that I do! It's an honor to be a part of what I believe is the most sought after Montessori program in our area!
Mollee Roskom
Toddler Teacher, West Campus
Hello everyone!
My name is Mollee Roskom. I have worked at Royal Montessori Academy for many years in the before and after school program as well as the summer program. I am so excited to be joining the Royal team full time! I always knew teaching was something I wanted to pursue ever since 1st grade. That passion only grew when I was able to start babysitting and working with children.
I recently graduated University of Wisconsin Green Bay with a Bachelors degree in early childhood education. I’m looking forward to taking the tools I learned throughout my education career into my teaching career. However, I am always looking for ways to expand my education. My goal is to further my knowledge about the Montessori method by receiving my Montessori certification.
My hobbies include, taking my miniature golden doodle, Ruger, to the dog park, cooking and baking, and going on adventures with the people I love.
I couldn’t be more thrilled to share my passion for teaching with you and your children! Let’s make this and wonderful school year!
Michelle Lindeen
Toddler Teacher, West Campus
Hello RMA Families!
My name is Michelle Lindeen. I have been teaching at Royal Montessori Academy since 2016. I love what I do! It is true what they say, “When one teaches, two learn.” I always feel very privileged for the opportunity to get to know you and learn beside your child working hand-in-hand to make each year a fun-filled, encouraging experience. I continue to appreciate the Montessori concept of teaching and learning. I’ve always believed that the best teachers show you where to look, but don’t tell you what to see.
A little about myself…I am a Wisconsinite born and raised. I graduated from the School of Education at UW-EauClaire with a BA in Communication Disorders, and I have been working with children ever since. I have been together with my husband, John for 30+ years, and we have one son named Logan. Due to my husband’s previous career in the Marine Corps, we moved around a bit before settling in Green Bay in 2004. I enjoy free time spent with family & friends, entertaining, traveling, cooking/baking, watching movies, and simple, quiet evenings at home.
Thank you for entrusting me with the special responsibility of loving & caring for your children. I am so excited to meet you all and very motivated to help nurture your children as they grow their independence through new experiences, building friendships, and exploring the environment around them.
Shannon Parmentier
Toddler Teacher, West Campus
Hello parents, families, and the wonderful Royal Montessori Academy community! My name is Shannon Parmentier. I am originally from Marshfield, Wisconsin, but I have enjoyed being a “cheesehead” here in Green Bay since 2014.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in ‘Family and Consumer Science-Family Life Education’ from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2011. Go Pointers! I have enjoyed working with children since my college years, which includes: being a Big Sister with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, volunteering at an elementary school, interning at a family resource center, and completing two years of service with AmeriCorps. One of my fondest memories of working with children was when I was an AmeriCorps member. I had the enjoyment of participating in a duathlon with many of the students I mentored throughout the year. The relationships I formed with these students proved to me that teaching children would be in my future again.
My husband and I have been married since 2017. We live in Howard with our two children, Maverick and Esmae, and our energetic petite goldendoodle pup named Lui. We love spending time together golfing, walking, and visiting our family cottage on Pelican Lake.
I look forward to another great year and look forward to meeting you soon!

Hello, I am Brianna Schlies. I am so excited to be joining Royal Montessori Academy, this will be an exciting experience for me to teach your children and work alongside these amazing teachers. I cannot wait to get to know all the children and to foster the love of learning for all! I bring to the classroom a degree in Early Childhood Education!
I currently reside in Green Bay, but grew up in the small town as Luxemburg, Wisconsin. Fun Fact: Luxemburg is home of the only stop and go light in Kewaunee County! I graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School in 2015 and received my degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching and working with children for almost 7 years and love that I am living my dream of working with children! For my own love for learning, my next goal is to pursue further education more specialized in Elementary education, all online.
My favorite hobbies outside of work are walking and spoiling my very spunky, Corgi puppy, named Peaches. I help run a mini donut and lemonade stand and that takes up most of our weekends in summer. When I am not doing that for fun, you can usually find me at any of the local dirt racetracks.
I cannot wait to meet all of you and have a great school year!
Megan Behnke
Toddler Teacher, West Campus
Hello RMA Families,
My name is Megan Behnke, I bring to the classroom my knowledge in early childhood education with credentials from NWTC. I am excited to broaden my knowledge in Montessori methodology working alongside and learning from my co-teachers. I look forward to this upcoming school year as it will be my first year teaching in a classroom outside of working as a substitute and afterschool teacher with both toddler and preschool classrooms in the 2021/22 school year.
I have always had a passion for working with children. Growing up I was the go-to sitter for not only my siblings but my families friends children as well, so I’ve been working with children for as long as I can remember!
I grew up in Marinette, WI and moved to Green Bay to be closer to school. In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my family, friends and boyfriend. During the summers I like to kayak and go on pontoon rides. I am also a self-taught photographer who thrives to capture the special moments in my life as well as others lives. I also like playing volleyball and softball.
I’m looking forward to this upcoming school year and can’t wait to meet your kiddos and watch them learn throughout the year!
Samantha Clement

Hello, my name is Samantha Clement and I look forward to being a part of the Royal Montessori team!
I have an associate degree from NWTC in Early Childhood Education. When I’m not in my classroom I love to ride my bicycle, read, and work on craft projects. I’m from Green Bay and I’m a huge Packer fan.
I look forward to a great year with your child!
Brittney Baierl
Preschool Teacher, West Campus
Hello! It is a tremendous honor to have the privilege of caring and teaching your child! I began my career as a float among childcare classrooms. Then I moved into my own classroom of toddlers! I have taught 2&3 year olds for a little more than ten years. Together our main focus was growing and learning, while figuring out this (sometimes crazy) world around us. I was also fortunate in having experience working with a great after school program where I was able to gain experience with so many school agers! I have my associates degree in Early Childhood Education from NWTC and multiple more child related certificates. I enjoy being educated as much as I enjoy teaching the littles!
I have lived in Green Bay all my life, with many trips outside the state growing up. Traveling is still important to me and I’m lucky enough to be able to seek new adventures with my long time boyfriend, Oscar. Together we love cooking (or me spending time in the kitchen as he cooks), attending concerts (it’s so cool seeing so many various artists with different styles of music, so much talent!) and attending farmers's markets. Oscar is the proud dad of a daughter and son who I absolutely adore!
In my spare time you can find me thinking of new home improvement projects, planning playdates for my niece and Oscar’s children, or curled up with a favorite book.
This will be my second year with my RMA family and I look forward to learning with your child this year. Thank you for this amazing opportunity!
Alexandra VanAlstyne
Preschool Teacher, West Campus
Hello! My name is Alexandra Loden (soon to be Mrs. VanAlstyne next summer)! I am so excited for the 2021-2022 school year, as this is my first year teaching at RMA!
I grew up emerged in the world of early childhood education from a young age, as my mom is a Speech Pathologist, who frequently brought me to volunteer at her school. During high school, I earned my volunteer hours as a teacher’s helper at Bonnie McBeth Learning Center in Plainfield, Illinois.
After high school, I continued my education at Joliet Junior College in Illinois where I earned an Associate’s of Arts degree. I am currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay as a senior this year, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology, with plans to graduate Spring of ‘22.
I have worked as a nanny for the past four years and have a passion for working children! I have personally witnessed children develop and discover so much about themselves through Montessori exploration. In my spare time, I love taking my German Shepherd Cosmo to the dog park and going on hikes with my Fiancé Brian.
Abigail Lifto
Preschool Teacher, West Campus
Hey RMA Families,
My name is Abigail Lifto, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to join the RMA family. Although I am still learning the Montessori Method, I have loved every minute of getting to know the students and staff thus far. I have worked with children since 2015 when I started my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. After I completed the degree I transferred into UWGB where I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Education with a minor in Human Development. On my graduation card in high school, I said that I wanted to be a lifelong learner. Coming to RMA I have been given the chance to work with bright young minds, and learn along with them.
All of my free time goes to my newborn daughter Sophia Ray. She was born this last December, and has brought such joy to my heart. Watching her grow and change everyday brings a sense of fulfillment into my life. I also enjoy traveling, I have been to 30 of the 50 states, and cannot wait to finish visiting all 50. When I finally have free time for myself I enjoy a good book, or catching up on much needed ZZZ’s.
As we finish out the school year, I am thrilled to work with your children, and watch them grow and learn. I am also eager to meet with all of you, and become a part of the RMA family. Thank you all for such a warm and kind welcome.

Ashley Zeh
Toddler Teacher, West Campus
Hello, my name is Ashley Zeh! I live in a small town outside of Green Bay with my son, Kayden. I began teaching Preschool in the Green Bay area in 2008, after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Family Life Education from UW Stevens Point. Since graduating, I have also attended and completed trainings in Sign Language, Multiple Intelligences, International Baccalaureate, Conscious Discipline and Zoo Phonics, to name a few. I love to learn new things and feel that’s an important part of being an educator; the more I learn, the more I can bring back to the classroom.
Having a child myself, I understand how important it is to find a Preschool program that provides a safe, comforting and enthusiastic environment for your child, as well as a welcoming environment for the parent! I believe all children start out with an intense desire to learn and by providing them with a secure and comfortable environment, I am better able to foster this learning.
Every child has interests and abilities that are unique to them and by allowing children to express themselves through work and play, I am able to gain a real understanding of the strengths and personalities of each child. I feel that teaching and learning should be fun for all those involved in the process; teachers, parents and students alike.
I can’t wait to share my love and passion for teaching with you and your children, here at Royal Montessori Academy!

My name is Rebecca Berry! I have lived in Alaska, Upper Michigan, and Northern Wisconsin throughout my life but I moved to the Fox Valley ten years ago. I currently live in Kaukauna with my wonderful husband, Kevin, our daughter, Ireland, our four animals (two dogs and two cats).
I have always had a passion for teaching as well as caring for children. Throughout my life I have babysat, been a long term nanny, and worked in Equine Therapy for kids with disabilities. Once I became a mother I was instantly drawn to the Montessori method when it came to my daughter's development. I am certified in Early Childhood Education (ages birth to 6 years of age) and I am certified through NAMC to teach Montessori. As a mother I know that it can be hard to leave your child in someone else's care. My goal as their teacher is to make sure that they know they are safe, loved, and that they are learning to be the best version of themselves.
In my free time you will find me in nature (I love fishing, camping, and gardening), with my nose in a book, or making candles. I love learning and challenging myself to try out new things all the time. I look forward to getting to know all of you!Hello RMA Families!

Preschool Teacher, West Campus
Hello Everyone-
I have been in
educational field serving students of all ages for nearly 17 years; eleven out
those years had been dedicated to teaching Montessori method.
I have carried and
applied Montessori approach outside of Montessori grounds, and was amazed to
see how still relevant, valid and effective it is to this day in achieving
academic success regardless of the age!
Along with Maria
Montessori's discovery of ability of young children to learn and necessity of
educating them, I side with Montessori approach to educate young children.
Together with Montessori principles, I believe and practice helping children
discover their potential within prepared classroom environment that reflects
her philosophy, filled with creative ethos of Montessori materials, teacher's
care, student's inquiry. I prepare that environment that is resplendent with
abundant quality literature that I believe to be a foundation pillar of all
learning across all disciplines; classroom that promotes and sustains emergent
literacy paving the way for acquiring 21st century skills, multiple
intelligences, self-efficacy that in turn contributes to building student's
character.
I look forward to
working together in providing the best possible care for children with great
emphasis on quality education, cooperative community of life-long learners.

Hello RMA families!
My name is Tracy Sette and I am one of the toddler teachers at Royal Montessori Academy. This will be my 7th year at RMA and I am excited to be back at the East campus for my second year! I live in Green Bay with my husband, Ryan, our 9 year old son, Miles, and our 2 mini Golden-doodles, Jameson and Stella.
My love of working with children started early. I grew up in an in-home daycare and started helping my mom as soon as I was able. I attended UW-Green Bay and have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Development. When my son was born I decided to leave my corporate job and watch children in my home. After a move to a new neighborhood I made the decision to return to work and am very blessed to have found RMA and to continue as a caregiver and teacher. This past summer I earned my International Montessori Teaching Diploma through the North American Montessori Center and I am excited to incorporate new ideas into our already stellar Montessori curriculum! It is going to be a fantastic year!
I love spending my spare time with my family and friends enjoying farmer’s markets, kayaking, and bonfires. I love going to see live music, particularly my husband (he is a guitar player) and our musician friends perform. I also enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling. I especially enjoy Ireland, Germany, and anywhere a Disney Cruise ship happens to go!

Hello RMA families,
My name is Katie Vogt. I grew up in De Pere, WI and now reside in Suamico, WI with my wonderful husband, Eric, our son Jackson (2 years old) and we recently welcomed a baby girl, Ava, into our family. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and doing anything outdoors. My favorite outdoor hobbies are gardening, hiking and fishing. My husband and I spend a lot of time on our patio relaxing when Wisconsin weather permits…once winter hits, it's Packer season! I also love live music and will catch a concert whenever I get the opportunity.
I have been teaching at Royal Montessori Academy in the toddler program for 3 years. I have enjoyed helping students learn and grow and been so proud watching them move onto preschool. Before joining Royal Montessori's team, I worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders for 6 years. That career taught me so many valuable skills… most importantly patience! Being able to help kids with special needs become more independent and develop new skills has been extremely important to me and very rewarding. I love watching kids learn and experience new things. I am so thrilled to have joined the RMA team and to be continuing my passion to teach children.

To see the strides and growth in a toddler is amazing. I look forward to developing your child’s knowledge, social skills, and independence using the Montessori method. I love the way children at this age absorb and learn from everything they see, smell, hear, touch, and taste!
My teaching career at RMA began in 2016 at the East campus working in a toddler classroom alongside Mrs. James. Here I learned many valuable tools to ensure your child will be successful as they grow in a Montessori classroom. A year later I transferred to the West campus to continue teaching toddlers and build relationships with the wonderful families, as together we develop the confidence and independence in each child.
For over 40 years I have been working with children of all ages. The excitement of learning and experiencing things for the first time is such a rewarding experience with toddlers. I feel the world is an open book and I am here to turn the pages for your toddler and help them grow.
I have raised 4 children who are now all successful adults. I have 3 sons and 1 daughter who resides in Wisconsin, Arizona, and Oregon.
We have always been a very active family, so now that my children have grown this allows me time to pursue my love to travel. Together with my husband Paul, we plan to visit all 50 states. We also enjoy spending weekends at the cabin, hanging out on the pontoon, snowshoeing, kayaking, photography, and cheering on the Packers and the Badgers.
A special gift that I once received shares the message “It Takes a Big Heart to Shape Little Minds”
My heart overflows when I know that I have made a positive impact on a child and touched their heart while teaching them to be a successful toddler. I look forward to sharing these experiences with you and your precious toddler!
Michelle Lodholz
Toddler Teacher, East Campus
My name is Michelle Lodholz and this is my first year at Royal Montessori Academy. I will be teaching in the toddlers classroom. I am originally from Tomahawk, WI, and just moved to the Howard area in Spring after graduation. I have over four years of experience providing Applied Behavior Analysis to autistic children in the Wausau and Green Bay area. I graduated in Spring 2023 with a Bachelor's degree to further my passion working with children. All through middle school and high school I had an aid that went above and beyond to help me with my academics and showed me the potential I had within myself to chase after my goals in life. I want to be that teacher that helps my students see the potential they have from within and guide them to succeed in life using the Montessori ways. Every child is unique and by observing each child with the help from two other aids in the classroom, we will be able to distinguish what activities to provide the children to help them constantly learn and evolve to their fullest potential. Child safety is always my first priority and making sure everyone feels comfortable and acknowledged. I cannot wait to meet and share my love for learning with your children this school year at Royal Montessori Academy!

Dalia Lopez
Preschool Teacher, East Campus
Hello RMA Families,
My name is Dalia Lopez, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as a full-time preschool Montessori teacher for the 2024–2025 school year! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to get to know each of your wonderful children and work collaboratively to make this school year a truly memorable and enriching experience for them.I hold an Associate's Degree in Business Management and have accumulated three years of valuable experience as a substitute teacher at Royal Montessori, covering both campuses. During this time, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many amazing students and developing a diverse set of skills that I’m excited to bring to our classroom.
Working as a substitute teacher, I’ve encountered various talents and interests in the children, which has enhanced my ability to adapt and engage with each student individually. I am committed to creating a supportive environment where every child can thrive and grow. One of the most remarkable aspects of working at a Montessori school is the emphasis on individualized learning. Each child is encouraged to explore their own interests at their own pace, which fosters a love for learning and promotes independence.
On a personal note, my fiancé and I are proud new parents to a beautiful 5-month-old baby girl, who brings immense joy and energy into our lives. She enjoys playing, exploring new textures, and spending time with family. As a family, we love exploring Door County, discovering new restaurants, and local shops. This new chapter of parenthood has brought us closer together, and I am excited to share this sense of wonder and joy with the children in our class.
I look forward to sharing some of that enthusiasm and warmth with the children in our class. As I enter this new school year, I carry the same sense of wonder and enthusiasm into the classroom. The experiences and insights gained from motherhood inspire me to create a nurturing and joyful environment for all the children I work with. I am excited to share this positive energy and commitment to growth with your children, ensuring that their time in the classroom is as enriching and fulfilling as my journey as a mother has been for me.
Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your child’s educational journey. I am excited to work with you all and make this year fantastic for our preschool Montessori community!
Sara Bieda
Kindergarten/Preschool Teacher, East Campus
Hello RMA Families!
Let me introduce myself...I am Mrs. Bieda! I was born and raised in Ashwaubenon, and attended Bellin College where I became a radiologic technologist. While I waited for a radiographer position to open at a pediatric hospital, I took, what I thought would be, a temporary position as a nanny. It was then that I discovered my desire to teach children. Year after year, I pushed my plan to work in radiology further away, and continued to follow my heart with teaching. During my time as a nanny, I worked with large families, and discovered the immense benefits of the Montessori multiage concept. I focused on creating lesson plans that drove children to want to learn from themselves and others around them. When I started a family of my own, I wanted my children to be challenged to learn in an environment that was going to naturally encourage them be the best possible version of themselves. That is what brought me to Royal Montessori Academy, and where I’m following my dream of teaching.
I truly believe life is intended for lifelong learning. I’ve always had an appreciation for a challenge, a love for learning, and a desire to better myself. I'm beginning my 7th year of teaching ay RMA, and have had the wonderful opportunity to teach the toddler program, the preschool program, and am so excited to be teaching my first year with kindergarteners. I recently earned my International Montessori Teaching Diploma through the North American Montessori Center. Each year I strive to introduce my students to the philosophy of cosmic education - and the concept that all things in the words are connected and that each of them has a very special place in it!
I currently reside in Ashwaubenon with my incredible husband and our three young boys, Beckham, Callahan, and Holland. We also have a goldendoodle named Murray! Together we enjoy spending time at our family cottage, relaxing in our backyard, hanging out with our families, watching the Green Bay Packers and NCAA basketball, going to the farmer's market, and enjoying each little moment we share together.
Each student is unique, and not like any other, and this challenges me to find the best way to connect with them. Children see the world in a way that adults often cannot, and I am so thankful to be reminded of their perspective each day. It may be my job to teach students, but what I am learning from them every day is so much more. I love being a teacher because my students inspire me to be a better listener, a better friend, a better coworker, a better teammate, a better mom, a better wife, a better teacher, and a better me.
As a mom myself, I know the feeling of leaving your children in someone else’s care, and that is why I strive to build a connection with not only your child, but your entire family. I want you to know that when you leave your child in my care, I will make sure they are safe and loved, and that they are challenged to be the best version of themselves. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and I fully believe that. I am so excited for the opportunity to be a part of your village!
Elsa Corona
Kindergarten/Preschool Teacher, East Campus
Hi families!
My name is Ms. Corona. This is my first year at Royal Montessori Academy and I am super excited!
I got my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in December of 2018 and just graduated from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in May of 2022 with my Bachelor’s in Education. I was the first in my family to get a college education and have always had their full support throughout my experiences. That’s why I believe that families and teachers need to work together to help children reach their full potential.
I have always known I wanted to be a teacher and specifically a younger grade teacher. I am super eager to start the school year and want to thank you in advance for sharing your children with us and letting us get to know them!
Maggie Erickson
Preschool Teacher, East Campus
Hello RMA families!
My name is Ms. Erickson. First, let me tell you how thankful I am to be a part of the RMA family. I joined the Royal East team in December of 2017, while attending NWTC for radiologic technology. I thought my time as an after school teacher would be short as I was set on finding my dream job in healthcare. Little did I know after my first year subbing I instantly fell in love with being in the classroom. During my years here, I have had the privilege to work in toddler, preschool and kindergarten classrooms! In late 2020 I decided to switch paths and plunge to start towards my Early Childhood Education degree. I graduated in May of 2022 from NWTC. I now am going back to school to achieve my Montessori degree through the North American Montessori center!
What made me fall in love with Montessori in the classroom is that children aren’t just handed the information in a book and told to learn it, but instead are given a set of materials to explore and develop their love of learning. Watching the benefits unfold of a multi-age classroom is truly magical. The older children take such a joy in teaching and helping the younger children with their tasks. The younger children look up with such admiration at the work of the older children. The classroom functions like a small community and it truly feels like second home, which is exactly how I grew up.
I spent my childhood growing and learning in the tiny town of Denmark where I then moved into my first house with my significant other Brad and our hound dog Ellie. If starting a new school year wasn’t exciting enough, in November of 2022 we bought our dream house engulfed in nature, in the the small town of Morrison. Brad, Ellie and I enjoy spending our free time outdoors, relaxing by a fireplace, cheering on the Green Bay packers, finding a trail to venture, and spending quality time with our families and friends.
Each child that walks in the door has a uniqueness that challenges me on tailoring each lesson to them. I want to start each day with the mindset of ‘what can they teach me?’. Being in the classroom environment gives not only the child, but the adult the opportunity to be a lifelong learner. Every day I step into the classroom is a new day to be better, start fresh, and another chance to have a day full of opportunities. I value seeing your children grow each and every day. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your lives!
Corinne Schuh
Preschool Teacher, East Campus
Hello RMA Families! I am excited to be a new teacher at Royal Montessori Academy!
My name is Ms. Schuh! I grew up in Northern Wisconsin and moved to the Fox Valley 3 years ago. I began my journey towards youth education by being involved in Price County 4-H from a young age. Sharing outdoor experiences with children gave me the desire to pursue a Wildlife Ecology Information and Education degree at the University Wisconsin - Stevens Point. I have been teaching outdoor education for the past six years in various states including Georgia, Alabama, New Hampshire and Kansas. These jobs included teaching children 4K-12 about snowshoeing, outdoor survival, archery, forests, ocean tides and much more.
I am excited to work at RMA which allows students to learn independently using hands-on methods. Throughout my years teaching I have learned that hands-on learning is the best method to instill curiosity and keep children engaged. Curiosity leads to children asking questions which allows the students to learn on their own. I have always enjoyed watching children grow and learn about things they are passionate about.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, volleyball, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. I have always had a love for the outdoors and science related subjects. I am excited to share my passion with the children, helping them to make new observations and discoveries about the world around them.
I’m looking forward to learning all about the families that are a part of this wonderful community at Royal Montessori Academy. I can’t wait for a wonderful school year!

Hello RMA Families,
I'm Miss Emily Hooks. I took my first steps into the world of education during the unique challenges posed by the pandemic, and I'm proud to say that I'm now entering my second year of teaching at RMA. The sense of community here is something I deeply cherish, and every day, I'm inspired by the fresh perspectives and insights I gain from the children.
Discovering the Montessori Method has been transformative for me. One of its aspects that truly resonates with me is observing the children embrace their individual learning paces, which in turn fosters their excitement and independence as they blossom both physically and mentally.
Outside the classroom, I love the simple joys of curling up with a good book or spending time with my niece, who's awaiting her second birthday this December. Much like with your children, I find myself guiding her on her journey to independence even outside the school setting.
I'm looking forward to another rewarding year, growing and learning alongside your wonderful children.
Miss Hooks

Support Teacher, East Campus
Hi, I’m Ms. Craw. I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education. This is my second year at Royal Montessori Academy and I’m so excited for this year. I have a beautiful seventeen-year-old daughter and two fur babies Pokey Puppy and Cookie Monster. I love to read, do puzzles, and all different types of crafts.
Over the years I have worked in a variety of educational settings. I have also worked in home with children who have Autism. I love working with children. Seeing each child’s personality develop over the school year is my greatest reward. I’m excited to help each child develop educationally. As I grew up the only job I ever wanted was to work with children for me it didn’t matter the age or anything else, as long as I was able to help children grow and learn. I want them to reach for the stars and go above and beyond them in life.
I can’t wait to get to know everyone and help them grow at this stage in life.

Wesley Stewart
Maintenance West & East Campus
Hi, my name is Wes Stewart. I am originally from Montana, having grown up on a farm in the north-central part of the state. I have been married to my wonderful and patient wife for over thirty years. We have two daughters, Lauren and Kaitlin, and three grandsons, Hunter, Hudson and Coulson. I moved to Green Bay in 2017 and was joined by my family in early 2018. We have settled into a lovely neighborhood on GB’s west side and have quickly fallen for what Green Bay, and all of Wisconsin, has to offer.
After a lengthy career in the route delivery industry, I decided it was time to try something different so that I could devote more time to my passions; baseball, my family and exploring the State of Wisconsin. I have worked with youth in many different roles over the years and had hoped to return to it at some point. Joining RMA allows me to make a difference for the building and all of its occupants. I am excited to join the ranks of RMA to assist in making every day pleasant, inviting and clean for all who enter and get a different perspective of the world through the eyes of a child.
I very much look forward to working with the staff at Royal Montessori Academy
